An iPad and iPhone app in development for measuring lengths and areas on PDF plans and exporting marked-up drawings.
The goal
Make it possible to check dimensions and share measurement context directly from a mobile device.
What we did
Product design and development of PDF import, drawing scales, calibration, snapping, saved length measurements, and PDF export. The latest development build adds editable area outlines, square-footage calculations, saving, Undo/Redo, and area export.
Current status & outcome
The length-measuring release candidate is being prepared for beta distribution. Area tools have passed development checks and iPad simulator testing; physical-device testing is next. The app is not publicly released. Concrete-volume and trade-specific takeoffs remain planned.
